Successful Test in First Run with USAC Midget
Josh Butler had his first test in the Butler/Dellarco Motorsports USAC National Midget on Saturday at the ½ mile oval in Toledo, Ohio. “Everything went exactly the way we were hoping it would go” said Josh Butler “that was the first time that I got to really push the car and I had a blast”.
The four hour test session went even better than everyone had hoped for as Josh turned some laps only half a second off of the top times from the National Midget race held in Toledo in July. Everyone at the test was impressed with how quickly Josh picked up the Midget and how comfortable he looked after only a few laps. Josh’s best lap was approx. 16.00 seconds, which is about 113 mph.
We all look forward to testing the midget more over the winter and also getting Josh into the Ed Dellarco owned USAC Sprint Car to test for the 2008 season.
Keep checking back for sponsor announcements and for pictures of the cars.
